Black Heritage Month Celebration
Every February, ODPS sponsors a campus-wide Black Heritage Month to highlight and celebrate the various African Heritage cultures on campus and their contributions to the world. Events are sponsored by student organizations, academic departments and a number of offices within University Life. This page serves to keep you informed on everything related to the upcoming year's celebration. Check back often for updates!
Black Heritage Month 2009 - History in the Making
The theme of the 2009 Black Heritage Month was “History in the Making.” We hoped this theme would serve to remind our students and community that everyday presents the opportunity for them to change their world, and make history in their own way. With the success of more than 40 programs put on by over 20 sponsors and community partners, we believe History was truly made.
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you to all of the organizations, offices, groups, friends and co-sponsors that made this year's Black Heritage Month a GREAT SUCCESS!!!
More information about this year's celebration, including pictures, student reviews, and other information will be added to this page throughout the semester! Stop back often and thanks again for your participation!!
