E. Teejay Brown
Mr. Teejay Brown began his career at George Mason University in August 2001 when he became an undergraduate student. He was also employed at the University that same year with the Women's Studies Research & Resource Center. Under this department, he was the Administrative Assistant for the HORIZONS! Summer camp, which at the time was a camp for adolescents designed to help them understand and combat gender stereotypes.
In 2002, Teejay joined the Student Academic Affairs department as a Student Assistant. His role with the department evolved as he became Payroll Coordinator and a Supplemental Instructor. Teejay became the full-time Office Manager for SAA in 2005; that same year he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in English and Biology. Additionally, in early 2006, he became a trainer with the National Coalition Building Institute whose Mason chapter is facilitated by the Multicultural Research and Resource Center.
Currently, Teejay is the Office/Program Manager for the Office of Diversity Programs and Services and a graduate student in the Biopsychology Master's Program at Mason.
